It's gone. Aquasapien has left my sweaty hands and is flying its way through the ether to my formatter Geoff. Only time will tell if its good enough for readers. I can say, I've learnt a lot from publishing my first book, Witch On The Warpath, and put all those lessons into this one so I hope it pays off - literally.
This book has been proof edited more times than... my son's been to KFC, and that's a lot. Following it's official, paid proof edit, I proof edited it two more times and still found errors in places. I think I'm starting to get a bug for proofing. Its quite additive. My new illustrator, Pegu Designs, has been fantastic. I can't recommend them highly enough. I'm hoping we'll do more work together in the future. Sadly, my proof editor want to remain anonymous this time round, something to do with the sordid nature of the book I believe. Yes there is sex, violence and murder, death, kills in this... and a lot of swearing too. Definitely not for the faint-hearted or children. I'm hoping to be ready for printing in early Jan, if not sooner and I'm hoping Waterstones will allow me to have my second launch there. No party this time round, it cost lots and wasn't worth it really. My friends came wherever I was signing books. Sorry if anyone wanted this for Christmas. Give your friends an IOU and tell them the author will sign it personally for them in the New Year. For a sneak preview of the new draft cover go to my Novels page. Just before Aqua goes on sale my other publication, The Red Anthology comes out. The Red Anthology is the first offering from the Inspirations Writing Group , which I founded. It will be on sale at our launch in the near future - hopefully before Christmas. Watch Facebook and here for details.
