180 Degree Turn Around
My life is never dull.
The angst I've suffered for the past month over using certain paragraphs in Aqua or not. Changing my name to Earl Starcol in order to maintain my distance from other avenues of work or scraping the whole book completely - has been a constant plague on my sanity.
Now I'm decided, thanks to two very wonderful writers, Lee Russell http://russellweb.org.uk/ and Damien Blackman. Thank you both, you have helped me traverse a minefield between passion and desire - metaphorically speaking.
I am going ahead with publishing Aquasapien in my own name and I have decided to remove the inflammatory passages which provoked the initial undesired response.
Instead, a new problem has reared its head, my second illustrator has now backed out of the project, leaving me again with no book cover. You might remember my original cover was found to be copyright to an independent photographer who sold the photo to a TV company in Pennsylvania and I couldn't locate the necessary permissions to use it. My first illustrator also backed out when he became "too busy."
However, I did manage to take some very good photos during my recent holiday to South America and I'm hoping a few of those might be good enough to use. Lets face it, I've done almost everything else in the publishing process, why stop now? What I need next apparently is Photoshop to achieve the desired result. Watch this space for my new cover.
Meanwhile, as the last of my proofing comes back from my PE. I am scanning for Beta Readers. If anyone reading this feels they can read this novel in approximately 4 weeks (once it is complete) then please contact me. I know it's possible because I've just read 9 novels in 14 days and yes Tara Moore, Tic-Tac is me. Your book Fade to Dead was fabulous. When is the next one out?
SO AGAIN ANYONE WHO CAN CATERGORICALLY STATE THEY CAN READ AN ACTION SCI-FI NOVEL IN 4 WEEKS, I'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU.
AND DID I FORGET TO MENTION, YOUR NAME WILL BE IN THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS SECTION AT THE BACK OF THE FINISHED BOOK. YES - YOUR NAME WILL BE IMMORTALISED IN PRINT (SHOULD YOU WISH IT)
